Francisca holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the London School of Economics (LSE). Postgraduate diploma in Justice and Gender from the University of Chile. General Management Program from Harvard Business School. Ph.D. (c) in Law, with a focus on Public Law, from the Universidad de Los Andes (Chile) and a professor at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Diego Portales.
