Individuals who enroll in the program before October 14 automatically receive a 10% discount on the total cost.<\/p>\n<p>This program, organized by our Center for Studies on Justice and Society (CJS) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, aims to provide professionals from the public, private, and civil society sectors with knowledge and analytical skills in some of the main fields of current concern regarding childhood and adolescence. The course features an interdisciplinary focus, based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicef.es\/publicacion\/convencion-sobre-los-derechos-del-nino\">Convention on the Rights of the Child<\/a>, where professionals are sought to access high-level information and practices based on developments observed in the field of theory and practice within child and adolescent protection systems.<\/p>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8761 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/justiciaysociedad.uc.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"591\" height=\"836\" \/><\/h4>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/justiciaysociedad.uc.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/1-2.png\"><strong>DOWNLOAD THE POSTER<\/strong><\/a><\/h6>\n<h4><strong>Breakdown<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>The course includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>29 chronological hours of training.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Classes are synchronous, live, via the Zoom platform. Those taught by English-speaking professors feature simultaneous interpretation. <\/strong><strong>They will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 18:00 and 19:50 hrs, from November 14, 2023, to January 25, 2024. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Each class will include mandatory and complementary reading material to delve deeper into the seminar topics. Proficiency in the English language is recommended to complete the reading of the material.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Certification from the Catholic University of Chile.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is structured around four modules:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Fundamentals of Comprehensive Protection<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Convention on the Rights of the Child and its implications for child protection systems.<\/li>\n<li>National Systems for the Comprehensive Protection of Children in the Americas. Lessons and Challenges.<\/li>\n<li>Perspectives for social intervention in comprehensive protection systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. <strong>Stages of Childhood and Adolescence Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Socioemotional development in childhood and adolescence: Fundamentals of protection from a developmental and life-course perspective.<\/li>\n<li>Progressive autonomy and its implications for protection systems.<\/li>\n<li>Mental health and its challenges in adolescence<\/li>\n<li>Adolescence and substance use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. <strong>Violation of Rights<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Effects of childhood and adolescence trauma<\/li>\n<li>Child and Adolescent-Friendly Justice<\/li>\n<li>Special protection and alternative care.
